Common Law System is the best system that can help Indian jurisprudence to grow with the pace of its economic development in the year to come. This conclusion was arrived at form the deliberation of the seminar on Global Play of Common Law organized here today by the St. Soldier Law College. Justice N.K Sud Former Judge of Punjab & Haryana High Court inaugurated the seminar and Mr.Rameshwar Sangha a lawyer by profession and Member of Parliament from Brampton Canada presided over the function. Chairman of St. Soldier Group and Mr. Manhar Arora Managing Director welcomed the guests Dr. S.C. Sharma Director of the College presented the background paper. Amongst other, advocate Mandip Sachdeva, Advocate Navtej Singh Toor Senior Dy Advocate General Punjab Adv Amit Mehta, Dr. Rupam Jagota and Dr.Varinder Singh Presented their papers on the theme of the Seminar.
In this inaugural address Justice Sud said Common Law system has great future in India and the world is adopting it in a blended form.
Interaction with the students Mr. Sangha responded to the questions of students on Common Law. He was very clear that like other system Common Law has certain infirmities but it is still the best system. He promised assistance to the St. Soldier students for adopting legal profession in Canada. On the occasion a book by Prof Komal Mehta on Economics was released
